What a competitor’s new practice page really tells you

A new page is a signal, not an instruction. Here is how to separate useful competitive evidence from noise.

Treat the page as evidence

A competitor may publish a page because a practice is valuable, because someone sold them an SEO package, or simply because the topic was on an old content calendar. Copying it without context turns their guess into your strategy.

The stronger signal is a new page paired with search demand, a gap on your own site, and a practice area your firm actually wants to grow.

Respond only when the facts line up

When the evidence is strong, the right response may be a drafted section, a new page work order, or no action at all. The output should match the work required instead of manufacturing an item for the inbox.
